Shaun, John and all the staff would like to extend a warm welcome to customers old and the ones we have not seen yet. We offer a very old fashoned looking lounge with its own log burning stove for those cold winter nights and a tradional tap room just like your where your grand father used to drink with all his mates.
We offer a bar snack theme menu in the day between 12pm & 3pm but snacks can be russled up when the kitchen is closed ans a fine dining food offering at tea time.
Monday Is OAP SPECIAL DAY 12pm till 3pm where we offer a mini roast dinner followed by a dessert of the day with a cup of tea of coffee a mint to finish with. All for just £3 small pounds.
Situated on the very edge of the small Village of Stannington, between Sheffield and the Peak District, the Crown and Glove is a warm, friendly traditional village pub with a great atmosphere and a mix of real ales and real people.

According to the deeds, The Crown and Glove was at one time a cottage in a row of four, serving ale. It was known as the Tontine - a name given to houses where the owners had each subscribed to the capital required for purchase, the last survivor inheriting.
From 1842 this public house was known as the Crown and Glove, and it passed from the ownership of Bradley and Co. to S.H. Ward and Co. Ltd in 1876. The property was improved in 1962. This is the only public house in the country of this name, but is known locally as the 'Top House'.
